Lands of Tyranny
Day 17 of The Centaur, Year 416
Ilmarin/Dominium
Symbol: The Broken Spear
God of Domination, Strength, Tyranny, Order, Determination.
Dominium, the name given to this god by the Humans and Greenskins, is a complex deity, portrayed often by the Empire as an evil god of chaos and destruction, together with his father Balthazar, it is indeed quite the opposite.
It is a god of order. An order obtained through strength, discipline, where everyone has their place in society and that is immutable. Domination, that is the word the deity’s followed use, obtaining peace and ruling with the merciless application of few yet simple rules, where everyone's rights end in the moment they want to deviate from the ‘natural order of things’.

Followers of Dominium were often those who had to administer justice and often did enjoy or even abuse its privileges, as the God does not condemn the immorality of actions, but appreciates those bold and capable enough to grab the scepter of powers and domination for themselves.
In his list of followers however, Dominium also has people that have to deal with the ‘harsh side of justice’, such as torturers or executioners, some perhaps enthusiastic of heir job if not reaching some levels of sadism, but others simply in the attempt to find a higher purpose, or a justification for their daily routines.

For the elder races (Elves, Dwarves, Serpentmen and Faefolk), Dominium is instead referred to with its ancient name, Ilmarin.

The deity, said to be derived by the union between the loving Lilith and the warring Balthazar, a turbulent union, which created a turbulent, explosive god made of fire and pride, but whose dangerous core was controlled by a thick layer of cold, well shaped, impenetrable steel.
This historically attracted especially tyrants, military leaders, gladiators, rioters, and often violent, self-centered people in general.
For the most poetic minds instead, which liked to imagine the gods like mortal beings, another story is the one of Ilmarin and Twyll as two siblings, the first especially trying hard to please and follow the steps his father Balthazar, but unable to ever impress him, slowly instead growing in the envy of this sister Twyll, and in resentment towards his father’s missing attentions, as they were always placed elsewhere, such as in the affairs of the ever struggling and fighting humankind. Out of spite however, and trying to get the same affection that his father got from humans, Ilmarin was said to have dedicated himself to the pursuit of success and victory at any cost: through pure strength, but also treachery, plots, and willpower, becoming what humans called ‘Dominium’
Among the notable followers of this god can be counted also Greenskins, for whom physical prowess, honor and domination over both others of their kind and also other races have always been seen as important values and goals. Rarely even among Ilthir can be found some worshipper of this deity, even if its worship is obviously on the side of the worship of their goddess mother, and very well hidden.
